UX mockups for stakeholders

Realistic mockups make a plan visible, so management and business units can decide from the same picture.

Background

Abstract plans are hard to decide on, because everyone pictures something different. UX mockups show how a website will look and behave before development starts. This makes decisions such as budget approvals easier.

Choosing the right format

  • Wireframes: show structure and content for early discussions about flows.

  • Visual mockups: show the final look, with colours, type and images.

  • Clickable prototypes: let people try out a flow such as an enquiry or an order.

For senior management, a few key pages as visual mockups and one clickable main flow are usually enough.

Realistic content and feasibility

Dummy text leads to false agreement. We therefore work with real or realistic copy, images and data. Our developers check each design first, so no mockup promises anything costly to build.

Approach

We first establish who decides and which questions the design has to answer. The mockups are created in Figma, with feedback left directly on the design. Approved designs become the basis for design and development.
