Deployment with CI/CD

Deployment with CI/CD releases tested changes without downtime. If something fails, the previous version is back within minutes.

The risk of manual deployments

Manual FTP deployments leave files missing and caches stale, and nobody knows exactly which version is live.

CI/CD stands for continuous integration and continuous deployment. Every change passes the same automated checks before it goes live.

Pipeline stages

  1. commit to Git and code review

  2. automated tests and quality checks

  3. asset build and dependency installation

  4. deployment to staging for sign-off

  5. approval and deployment to production

Zero downtime and a safe rollback

Each new version is fully prepared before traffic switches over. Database changes let old and new versions run side by side briefly, which keeps a rollback safe.

Secure credentials

Passwords and API keys never sit in the code. They are stored encrypted and separated by environment.

Approach

Pipelines run in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar services, and every release is documented.
