API integrations with third-party systems

API integrations link your website or portal to ERP, CRM, payment and newsletter systems and end manual data transfer.

Background

Orders go straight into the ERP, enquiries into the CRM and consents into the newsletter service. Before we start, we agree which system holds the master copy of each type of data. This prevents conflicting records.

Typical integrations

  • ERP: products, prices, stock levels and orders

  • CRM: leads and customer data in HubSpot or Salesforce

  • Payment: Stripe, PayPal or Mollie, with webhooks for status updates

  • Newsletter: Brevo, Mailchimp or CleverReach, with double opt-in

  • Single sign-on: Microsoft Entra ID or other identity providers

Technology

Most systems offer REST APIs or GraphQL. Older ERP systems often use SOAP or SFTP. We wrap all of these in a separate integration layer, so a third-party system can be replaced later without rebuilding the application.

Reliable in operation

  • Queues with automatic retries during outages

  • Idempotent processing, so no order arrives twice

  • Encrypted transfer and data processing agreements under the GDPR

Approach

We agree data flows and failure cases with your business teams and IT. Testing runs against each provider's sandbox. After launch, logging and alerts keep the integration monitored. Automated sandbox tests reveal changes to provider APIs early.
